Electric - Outboard motor

The electric outboard motor is the ideal and future-oriented alternative to the petrol engine for dinghies, smaller boats as well as for larger sailing and motor boats, especially if the ship is used in inland areas with its high environmental protection requirements. In many areas, the electric motor is the only permitted engine operation.

We currently have the two manufacturers Minn Kota and ePropulsion for electric outboard motors in our delivery program.

Minn Kota's product range includes outboard motors in the power range from 360W (0.5 HP) to 1.6kW (2.2 HP) in a wide variety of designs as conventional motors for the transom mount as well as trolley motors particularly suitable for fishing.

The Minn Kota motors have all the electronic components installed in the motorhead, speed and direction are controlled via the tiller, only the batteries have to be connected externally.

ePropulsion is relatively new to the market. The company was founded by four young engineers in Hong Kong in 2012 and has since brought a range of innovative electric outboard motors with a very good price-performance ratio to the market in the power range from 1kW ... 6kW.

Since we are convinced of the quality of these drives, we have included the ePropulsion motors in our delivery program since autumn 2021 to round off our product portfolio.

As long as the drive power is sufficient, there are actually no reasons against replacing your petrol outboard motor with an electric drive. Rather, all the advantages speak in favor of the electric drive - whether it's the very sensitive and responsive speed adjustment of the engine, fast switching between forward and reverse, the almost complete absence of vibrations, the almost complete freedom from maintenance and of course the extremely low noise emissions, the complete absence of exhaust emissions and clean handling with no risk of environmetal pollution from petrol and oil.
